Jean Abadieis one of the most extraordinary artists of our time. For 75 years of his life he has been painting a story on canvas. Today he is 84 and still disciplined about painting everyday. Jean studied painting in Toulouse, France where much of his style was developed and is still prevalent today. During WWII, Jean was a soldier and painter for the French army. After his military service, Jean continued his career as a painter. Upon returning to France, Jean’s career flourished in the 1970’s. He was one of the most sought after artists in France. Much of Jean’s own timeless style was influenced by Cezanne.
Jean's favorite color, ochre, is still prevalent 35 years later in his impeccable paintings. Capturing the subtlety of life in the south of France and northern Spain, his outstanding creations are par excellance and enlighten our gallery.
