Born in a small town in the heartland of America, Amy Lynn was an artist from an early
age. Amy's mother, an artist herself and instructor, was a source of constant
encouragement. She went on to earn a BFA in painting at the University of Nebraska.
After college, Amy moved to Minneapolis and spent the next nine years painting over 300
commission works and selling piece after piece to even the most discerning collectors. As
her real world fused with her artistic life, the romantic world in her grew bigger and
bolder. In 2004, she moved to LA and her fan base grew. With one exhibit after another,
art critics hailed Amy Lynn as 'One to Watch'. She was recently commissioned to do a
series of paintings for the New Otani Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Today her exposure
reaches world wide, in galleries and collections, both public and private.
For Amy Lynn, inspiration is in Picasso's bold cubism, in the whimsical figures of
Matisse and even in the visuals of everyday life. When Amy approaches the canvas she
allows the characters and stories to emerge from under the surface. Her desire is for
them to personally interact with the viewer, inviting them in to join the nightlife.
